    Nutrien Financial is a new business line for Nutrien, is in search of a Training Specialist to be part of our training team.  Reporting to the Manager of Change and Training, the training team serves to enhance the competencies of individual employees, by designing and conducting training programs that boost employee’s workplace performance in alliance with company’s initiatives and core values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering training curriculum, along with learning materials, delivering to multiple audiences in multiple locations.

    What you will do:

    • Design and deliver job-specific tool and procedure training, specific to areas of knowledge need and expected responsibilities
    • Plan, organize, implement and evaluate a range of training activities and execution plans for multiple teams and departments
    • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor results to determine quality improvements
    • Provide skills development training for computer applications, products, policies and procedures
    • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
    • Create and deliver interactive training courses in multimedia forums; in person and virtually, delivering to all levels of the organization
    • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques to drive success in changed behaviors
    • Partner with business associates to ascertain training needs and expectations
    • Evaluate training effectiveness through multiple feedback loops
    • Conduct workshops, lectures and overviews to large groups
    • Assist in planning programs that improve upon or enhance existing skills
    • Stay abreast of the new trends in training with tools, people, process and technologies

    What you will bring:

    • BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
    • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
    • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
    • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
    • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
    • Proven ability to master the full training cycle
    • Sound decision making and organizational skills
    • Understanding of adult learning theories
    • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
    • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
