    The Analyst, HR Compliance and Communications is the first defense in ensuring risk mitigation for HR and our business. Reporting to the Sr Analyst, HR Portal & Compliance, this role is accountable for ensuring the business and HR are aware and are prepared to follow necessary rules, regulations in compliance with legal boundaries and jurisdictions for which they support. In addition to compliance, this position plays a key role in developing and delivering HR communications.

    What you will do:

    • Maintains a proficient knowledge of HR related rules and regulations and their impact on global operations for Nutrien business units
    • Conducts research of laws and regulations that impact Nutrien’s compliance to include partnering with the legal department to assess new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws and regulations and how they impact the organization
    • Researches potential violations to determine potential compliance needs and escalates issues as needed for resolution
    • Ensures proper reporting of regulatory changes and engagement with IT and HR leaders to ensure compliance through system enhancements and policies development/changes.
    • Coordinate compliance notices and notifications
    • Develop communications to be delivered across functional group related to change initiatives and compliance updates
    • Ensure site content and reference documents are updated and accurate
    • Ability to analyze data to improve communications
    • Market HR and the programs offered
    • Review and research industry practices and provide insight into appropriate benchmarks
    • Interact with all levels of employees
    • Collaborate with individuals and teams in a positive way to solve risk and compliance issues
    • Participate or lead special projects

    What you will bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Audit or related field. A master’s degree in a related field would be considered an asset
    • Or High School diploma and four (4) years related Human Resources work experience
    • Minimum (3) years Human Resources work experience
    • Experience in audit or compliance based HR roles
    • Professional certification in a related field is preferred (i.e. SPHR/PHR/CPHR)
    • High level of proficiency in written and verbal communications
    • Superior level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Graphic design experience a plus
    • Strong analytical skills to include skills working with Excel, databases and metrics
    • Strong detail orientation and project management skills
    • Ability to work with confidential human resources information
    • Self-starter, oriented to effective problem resolution, with a strong work ethic
