    The Mine Safety Technician will report to the Mine Safety Supervisor and then to Safety Manager.

    Key Tasks:

    • Responsible for the coordination and completion of safety equipment compliance testing and inspections:
      • Fire extinguishers
      • Fall protection equipment
      • Emergency showers and eye wash stations
      • Refuge stations and emergency tables

    Skills:

    • Demonstrated commitment to safety
    • Positive safety behaviour and be a safety leader
    • Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Team player

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
    • Solid understanding of safety equipment and safety protocols
    • Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset
    • Mine rescue/emergency response experience would be considered an asset
