    The Mine Technician will report to the Senior Mine Technician.

    Key Tasks:

    • Report any unusual conditions, hazards or defects to supervisor
    • Use and care for all Mine Technician equipment
    • Responsible for borer alignment and measuring progress
    • Take samples of ore and brine
    • Familiar with ore body (geology and mark up)
    • Assist in taking rock mechanics measurements
    • Mainain appropriate housekeeping and keep tools in a good state of repair


    • Able to perform duties in a safe and responsible manner
    • Able to work in a neat, precise manner
    • able to work independently and as part of a team
    • able to interact positively with coworkers and supervisors
    • able and willing to learn the operations of all survey related functions
    • able to drive or willing to learn the operations of standard underground equipment


    • Technical school graduate from a recognized surveying course
