    Located at our office in South Calgary, and reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, Nutrien is currently has an exciting Co-op opportunity within our Corporate Accounting Team. Providing invaluable work experience in a dynamic multinational public company, this position term will begin in January 2019 for 4 months. 

     

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Analysis of Corporate business unit financial results
    • Assistance with cash flow forecasting relating to our Nitrogen, Phosphate & Potash (NPK) facilities
    • Review of financial results and account for foreign operations in Europe & the Caribbean
    • Assistance with preparation of presentations, flow charts and other accounting documentations
    • Accurate completion of quarterly and annual government accounting surveys
    • Streamlining critical processes and creating process and procedural documentation
    • Be and integrated part of the corporate accounting team, by support on-going initiatives and special projects        

    Qualifications of the position include:

    • 2nd, 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program or in the Bachelor of Applied Business Administration program
    • Two years related work experience is preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products with extensive knowledge of Excel
    • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail is critical
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and interface with various levels of management in a multi-task, deadline orientated, team environment

    Am I eligible?

    Co-op students must be working towards a degree or diploma at a post-secondary institution and enrolled in a co-op program, and returning to full-time studies upon completing their work term.
