    The Mine Production Supervisor is one of 3 reporting to the Mine Production Shift Supervisor

    Key Tasks:

    • Supervise performance, provide mentoring and manage approximately 30 hourly mine shift operators.
    • Provide safety leadership, ensure compliance with all safety and workplace rules and procedures.
    • Direct interaction with the Maintenance, Planning and Engineering Departments to safely and efficiently utilized available resources to meet daily production goals.


    • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire; coach and mentor.
    • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
    • Computer proficiency.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years mining experience and underground supervisor certification.
    • Mine Operations experience.
    • Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
    • Mine Rescue certification, and involvement in OH&S and exposure based safety programs are assets.
