    Reporting to the Millwright Supervisor, the Millwright is accountable for the general mechanical installation, maintenance and repair of equipment assets in Agrium, Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations in a safe, timely, cost effective and efficient manner. Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot rotating and stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.


    Key Tasks:

    • Maintain rotating and fixed equipment to repair or replace defective components when necessary on: turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, conveyors, bucket elevators etc.
    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities including lubrication rounds and vibration data collection and trending.
    • Trouble-shoot hydraulic and mechanical systems.
    • Read and interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics, P&ID, and architectural drawings.
    • Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
    • Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments.
    • Operate and trouble-shoot intercept wells and make necessary repairs
    • Planning mechanical related work to meet business needs


    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and team skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of SAP
    • Working knowledge of vibration collection tools and software
    • Vibration analysis and lubrication analysis experience as an asset

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Level of Formal Education (High School, Diploma, Degree):  High School Diploma
    • Designation(s) and/or Certification(s):  Journeyman or Inter-Provincial Millwright trade designation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preference will be given to dual trade in Machining
