    The Laboratory technician is responsible for the timely and orderly flow of analysis originating in the mill, load out, and mine. Lab technicians complete the analysis of process samples that help operations and process engineers make decisions on how to operate the plant and ensure the process is working efficiently. The analysis completed on loadout samples ensures the quality of our product shipped to customers is on specification. Lab technicians communicate results to operations, shipping, and loadout and play an important role in the effective running of the mill. Lab technicians are also responsible for the upkeep of instruments and equipment as well as QA/QC tasks to ensure accuracy and precision of data generated by the laboratory. Lab technicians are also responsible for entering analysis data into our analysis database.

    This is a temporary position with an estimated time frame of approximately 12 months.

    Key Tasks:

    • Analyze samples following developed procedures. This is including QA/QC samples, mill samples, mine samples, and loadout samples.
    • Entering, Reviewing, and Communicating Analysis Data


    • Safety oriented
    • Chemical Technology Diploma/post-secondary training in chemistry or a related field
    • Previous lab experience would be an asset
    • Detail oriented
    • Eager to learn and work in a fast pace environment
    • Able to work with minimal supervision (shift work, supervisor not on shift)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Chemical Technology Diploma or Equivalent
    • Operate/calibrate analytical instrumentation
      • X-Ray Spectrometer
      • Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
      • pH meter
      • Titrotherm
      • Analytical balances
    • Handling detailed work with precision
    • Time management skills
    • SAP knowledge for data entry into ZQMS
    • Strong data entry skills with working knowledge of excel
    • Shift work
