    Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is accountable for the operations of equipment and process in the Fort Saskatchewan Operations in a safe and changing environment, to meet the business needs.


    This position produces and supplies quality product to the customer, while maintaining the integrity of the operating units.


    Key Tasks:

    • Operate equipment and process in a safe and changing environment
    • Monitor equipment; identify faulty equipment, problem areas.
    • Monitor and react to variable conditions in the process.
    • Maintain plant integrity. E.g. housekeeping, safety checks, troubleshooting, routine maintenance.
    • Process start-up / shut down.
    • Identify and report all safety concerns.
    • Take corrective actions for any safe hazard for themselves or others.
    • Complete all requirements in the Progression System
    • Understand and follow site, company, and governmental policies or standards.
    • Communicate within / outside teams

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Must have a fourth class Power Engineering

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prefrence will be given to third class Power Engineers
