    This position reports directly to the Safety Manager

    Key Tasks:

    • Participate in various HR related activities such as:
      • Working with the United Way
      • Coordinating the Patience Lake Newsletter
      • Booking and following up with training and testing
      • Policy review
      • Responds to employee safety suggestions and concerns
      • Responsible for the compliance of safe work practices and conditions
    • Participate in various safety related activities such as:

      • Safety sign programming
      • Recording safety meeting minutes
      • Facilitate site safety orientation of new employees and contractors
      • Work request entry
      • Distribute planned inspections
      • Incident investigation administration & return to work
      • EtQ data entry
      • Policy review
    • Participate in various training related activities such as:
      • Training software administration
      • Assists in evaluation of training progress and schedules training for site personnel
      • Generate training reports
      • Training content development and communication to site on updates
      • Provide site support to the corporate training team

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of HTML programming, Oracle, and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • EtQ Reliance Training
    • Strict attention to detail, developed problem solving skills, logical & critical thinking skills, high personal accountability
    • Experience and/or comfort with computer systems
    • Self-motivated and an ability to manage own time to achieve deadlines. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively where necessary in a team environment
    • Ability to work in high pressure environment with competing deadlines

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma / GED required
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
    • 2-5 years’ experience in a related field
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office and Oracle
