    Reporting to the Senior Director, Nutrien Financial & Retail Credit, the Administrative Assistant, Risk will provideadministrative support to all areas of the Risk department within Finance. The Risk department is comprised of five primary pillars: Risk Management (including Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance and Internal Controls), Treasury and Energy, Corporate Reporting, Wholesale Credit, Retail Credit and Nutrien Financial.

    The Administrative Assistant, Risk requires a high degree of collaboration within the Risk department, and across departments, to coordinate activities and support the team’s outreach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Well-developed organizational skills, including prioritizing of work and the ability to work independently are essential.

    Key Tasks:

    The Administrative Assistant, Risk is responsible for planning and executing administrative activities on behalf of the Risk function, including:

    • Coordinating the preparation of various routine and ad hoc management reports including budget preparation and entry and ongoing variance analysis
    • Managing travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for the Risk team
    • Coordinating meetings and schedules
    • Assisting in preparation of presentations as needed
    • Handling details of a highly confidential and/or critical nature
    • Maintaining confidentiality of records as necessary
    • Receiving and distributing incoming mail
    • Managing office supplies
    • Performing other administrative activities as required by the department

    • Eager to learn and assume responsibility; seeks out and accepts increased responsibility; displays a "can do" approach to work

    Qualifications:

    • Certificate or diploma in business or office administration program
    • Minimum five years of administrative experience
    • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience in SAP and/or Oracle would be an asset
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
