    This position will report to the Rotating Equipment Superintendent in the Maintenance and Engineering Department.

    Key Tasks:

    • Ensures that the reliability program remains evergreen which includes vibration analysis, oil analysis, IR Thermography and Airborne Ultrasound testing.

    • Maintains the reliability opportunity list for the site.

    • Provides Quality Assurance and Technical Support to the plants on major and/or critical rotating equipment for routine, emergency, and turnaround work.

    • Leads and/or participates in analysis of equipment failures.

    • Analyzes field data and recommends modifications / improvements for Rotating Equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable working conditions.

    • Leads in the application of new technology in rotating equipment monitoring.

    • Maintains and provides statistics for equipment.

    • Assists in the development of specifications used for the purchase of new equipment.

    • Ensures that purchases meet applicable codes and standards.

    • Tracks the repairs / modifications of all major components, both locally and internationally, for all Rotating Equipment.

    • Represents the Company on all Technical matters pertaining to Rotating Equipment.

    • Participates in the Company’s Capital Expenditure Projects either as a Project Manager or a Member of a Project Team. 


    • Competent in the use of Root Cause Failure Analysis methodologies.
    • Hands on exposure in all mechanical skill areas of fabrication, machining, piping, rotating and stationary equipment maintenance and repair
    • Ability to read and assimilate technical data from manuals, manufacturer’s documentation, reports, engineering studies and prepare work procedures and instructions in easy understandable steps for fellow workers to follow.
    • Clear concise understanding of process plant and equipment particularly rotating equipment.


    • BSc. Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
    • Minimum of 5 years' exprience in Rotor Dynamics analysis experience.
    • Extensive Knowledge in PM/PDM & RCM philosophy and implementation of similar programs.
    • International Certification in Machinery Vibration Analyst Level II will be an asset.
