    This role will report to the Manager, Rail Fleet. No positions reporting in to this position.

    Key Tasks:

    • Primary responsibility for strategic planning and maintenance of the Nutrien rail fleet
    • Responsible for all aspects of Nutriens rail-car fleet maintenance, including:
      • Coordination
      • Payment for services
      • Compliance with regulatory requirements (FRA, TDG, AAR)
      • Quality assurance (auditing)
    • Responsible for coordination of maintenance with 3rd party shops, on-site facilities, and mobile repair services
    • Developing maintenance strategies that meet regulatory requirements and align with operations plans
    • Collaborate with Rail operations, Plants/Sites, Customers, and Rail Carriers
    • Assist with Rail Fleet Leases, including payment and negotiations
    • Assist with Rail Fleet planning and strategy as needed
    • Responsible for maintenance of systems used for tracking and reporting

    Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Analytical skills, with strength in excel (pivot tables, graphs, charts) and data management
    • Technical experience
    • Commercial experience in parts or service planning and procurement

    Qualifications:

    • University degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in rail, fleet management or a technical capacity
