    Each of these two positions will report in to one of either the Manager of Potash, Phosphate or Nitrogen Rail Operations (One coordinator for each team). No positions reporting in to this position.

    Key Tasks:

    Purpose of this role is to ensure a high level of rail car utilization while providing timely service to our customers, both external and internal. The role will monitor rail car cycle times, analyze cycle time data and prepare management reports and recommendations as needed.  Rail operations experience is not required, however candidates should have a firm grasp of successful business drivers and work well with a focused and dedicated team. Recent business school graduates are encouraged to apply.

    • Responsible for tracking and tracing loaded/empty rail cars.
    • Responsible for gathering eta's & information from rail carriers.
    • Responsible for handling problems and taking corrective action with rail carriers as required.
    • Responsible for communicating with various stakeholders including railways, customer service, mine sites and sales managers as needed.
    • Responsible for processing rail diversions and rebills as required by changing business needs
    • Responsible for reporting on rail transit times.
    • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of rail car locations and report as necessary.
    • Some travel may be required.

    Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
    • Strong interpersonal skills focused on customer service while optimizing costs
    • Analytical skills, with strength in excel (pivot tables, graphs, charts)
    • Problem solving

    Qualifications:

    • University degree required
    • Minimal experience required however transportation and/or mining experience would be considered an asset.
    • Professional designation in the logistics and supply chain field would be considered an asset,
