    Reporting to the HR Shared Service Center Manager the Data Entry Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll and time reporting data changes received by telephone or ServiceNow Case for both Canada and US. Working closely with the HR Support Services Team and the Payroll Processing team, the Data Entry Administrator is required to meet agreed company payroll cut off timings to support our 2 bi-weekly payrolls, as well as the HR Shared Service Center SLA’s and KPI’s.

     

    Key Tasks:

     

    • Perform all payroll data entry into the company Pay and Time Reporting Systems including but not limited to
      • Bonus & Allowances
      • Miscellaneous Payments
      • Off-Cycles
      • Severance Payments
      • W4
      • Union dues
      • Regular Pay and Vacation adjustments
      • Setting up or changing Direct Deposit
      • Providing copies of Pay Statements when requested
    • Responsible for Time Entry Changes, Balancing, Adjustment or Termination of Buckets and resetting/unlocking accesses. Working closely with Time Admins within the business to ensure accuracy of data.
    • Support the processing of Canada’s Record of Employment (ROE’s) ensuring targets are met in accordance with expected company compliance
    • Carry out regular audits of data entry to ensure that any errors or incorrect information is captured prior to payroll processing taking place.
    • Manage and maintain employee files, electronic and physical hard copy formats.
    • Participate in Payroll/HR SSC projects or support other HR colleagues as required.

    • Strong willingness to continuously improve the performance of both one’s self and the HRSSC through continuous learning and self-development.
    • Ability to be flexible in terms of working schedule.

     Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma, GED.
    • 2-3 years administrative/data entry experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and respond to client inquiries by telephone or email
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.

     Desired Qualification

    • Associates degree or equivalent experience within a Payroll or HR Shared Service Center environment.
    • SAP HR Master Data Experience.
    • SharePoint knowledge.
    • Experience with Canadian or US HR/Payroll data, business rules and legislative requirements.
    • Experience utilizing Case Resolution and Time Reporting Systems
