    Key Tasks:

    • The Accountant contributes to the preparation, analysis and stewardship of plant finance, financial reporting and forecasting information supporting specific BU business plans and corporate culture. The Accountant balances financial excellence with proactive, practical business solutions.
    • Assist in month end close process ensuring accuracy of the books and records of the company.
    • Assists with capital project management.
    • Provides analysis of cost and production variances to Sr Accountant
    • Assists with the preparation of the budget, forecasts, and monthly reports.
    • Applies existing/new accounting standards, policies and procedures to routine and non-routine situations directly related to their role based on established guidelines.
    • Identifies accounting issues associated with ad-hoc/non-routine request and provides recommendations / actions with guidance from Sr Accountant.
    • Related to Rainbow Operations:
    • The Accountant will prepare financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting information to be reviewed by Sr Accountant.
    • Support capital project management.
    • Support month end close process.

    Skills:

    • Cost accounting and management accounting
    • Financial analysis
    • Financial reporting knowledge in IFRS and US GAAP
    • Audit
    • Solid Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
    • Problem solving ability
    • Time management.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 year of progressive accounting experience ideally with previous cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Degree in accounting or finance
    • CPA or CMA preferred
    • Previous experience in a plant manufacturing environment.
    • SAP experience a plus
