    Reporting to the Manager, Operational Tax, the Supervisor, Operational Tax will, with strong leadership skills, supervise daily tasks of the Operational Tax team.

    Key Tasks:

    • Supervise daily operations to insure timely, accurate reporting to State/Local jurisdictions.
    • File timely/accurate sales/use tax returns, business licenses, property tax renditions and appeals.
    • Review monthly sales tax returns/licenses, review annual property tax renditions.
    • Month-end, year-end close.
    • Operational tax journal entries.
    • Complete and review monthly reconciliations for balance sheet reviews.
    • Research tax rules and regulations to ensure compliance with taxing jurisdictions.
    • Audit management including GST, PST, State, Local, and property tax audits.
    • Special projects as needed.

    • Ability to interpret tax rules and regulations helpful.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Strong interpretation and analytical skills.
    • Strong customer service attitude; team player.
    • Highly detail oriented.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Strong Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency in Excel a must.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with two or more years of relevant tax experience, or
    • Ten or more years of direct operational tax experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state sales tax, property tax, vat and licensing preferred.
