    This position reports directly to the Safety, Health & Environmental Manager.

    Key Tasks:

    • Schedule and plan PHA revalidations
    • Provide PHA support for MOC projects and changes
    • Ensure facility siting and RMP are included in PHA process
    • Lead Management Review meetings of PHA recommendations
    • Review completed PHA actions for completeness and resolution of action intent
    • Provide action item support for action owners
    • Provide hazard investigation (TapRoot*) training
    • Lead hazard investigations (TapRoot*)
    • Provide personnel with access to Nutrien site through security system
    • Provide security reports for time keeping and security issues
    • Provide security video history for incidents
    • Provide off hour security system support
    • Provide support of PSM audit process
    • Support PSM process by participating in MOC and PSM meetings
    • Participate in safety observations and Key Procedure Audits
    • Provde support during internal & external PSM audits
    • Provide support during inspections by OSHA


    • Must be able to read and understand P & ID's
    • Must have experience in chemical plant operations
    • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills
    • Should be able to multi-task
    • Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, especially Process Safety Management 29.CFR 1910.119



    Required Education & Experience:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Engineering degree preferred
    • Formal training or education in area of PSM and PHA  

    Preferred Education & Experience:

    • Engineering background or Operations experience

     Additional Eligibility Qualifications (In addition, the following are necessary for success in this position):

    • Qualitative and quantitative risk analysis training.
    • Incident investigative training
    • Security system training
    • Working knowledge of the following software:
      • PHA Pro
      • Gallagher Security
      • Avigilon Video
      • TapRoot
      • Adobe professional
      • Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
