    The Sr. Manager Retail IT will oversee the daily operational activities, process improvement, and project delivery in the area of Point of Sale solution, integration/middleware and data/reporting applications. This position is responsible for the management of processes and technologies that direct the way information is managed and leveraged across the enterprise. The successful candidate will oversee the support of business intelligence reporting, master data management, data quality assurance, and the enterprise data warehouse. They will be responsible for ensuring cross-system data consistency to integrate business processes, and enable a foundation for enterprise-wide standardized data intelligence/reporting solutions and common reporting and integration systems. This position is also responsible for the design and delivery of key applications which support the digital solutions team. The position is a key member of the IT leadership team providing both strategic input with respect to the current and future direction of the function, and day-to-day operational oversight and leadership.

    Key Tasks:

    • With the IT VP of Retail, establishes and promotes the overall vision for how IT can support the Retail business
    • Ensures IT is an effective partner and enabled by identifying factors critical to business success and driving operational effectiveness
    • Responsible for collaborating and delivering on IT service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Establishes Service Level Management, aligning resources with business expectations for performance, availability, data quality, and relevance.
    • Orchestrates central control of master data in support of company-wide quality standards and procedures, including enablement of consistent data maintenance and distribution.
    • Acts as a leader and mentor of data and integration development and management of applications
    • Interfaces with vendors and service providers to identify and select the products and/or services that best support Retail's information strategies.
    • Demonstrates cross-functional partnering and team leadership working across a large, matrix environment.
    • Directs the continuous improvement of data management practices to ensure that data resources are integrated, understandable, accessible, and secure.
    • Directs the development efforts across the Retail application landscape.



    • Effective with creative solutioning and communication to influence others or facilitate resolution of a problem / business issue. Uses negotiation skills when appropriate.
    • Provides technical/process expertise and guidance and working towards common goal.
    • Brings appropriate individuals together to accomplish business objectives; facilitates access to critical competencies; knows whom to call, whom to involve.
    • Identifies and cultivates relationships with key stake holders representing a broad range of functions and levels; uses informal networks to get things done; builds strong external networks with people in the industry or profession.

    • Able to communicate at various levels from senior business stakeholders to technical subject matter experts in designing and developing technical solutions to business needs.
    • Inspirational people leader, able to engage a workforce and develop people to their greatest ability.



    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or other relevant field.
    • At least 10 years of experience leading components of data intelligence, reporting and integration tools, and data warehousing. Experience in associated areas and of senior management roles will be an advantage.
    • 6-7 years of experience supporting applications
    • The position requires a full mastering of and a technical understanding of key aspects of Enterprise Integration, Master Data Management, Metadata, Data Warehouse, Data Quality Assurance, and Reporting & BI technologies.
    • At least 8 years of experience managing Agile Development teams.
    • Strong analytical and interpretive skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting client’s environment.
    • Demonstrated initiative and solution orientation, with a track record of putting ideas forward and presenting them upward with proven history of leading to ultimate successful execution.
    • Previous experience at leading a group of technical analysts and influencing others would be an asset.
    • Must have experience managing direct and indirect budget. Ability to estimate financial impact of technical infrastructure alternatives. Knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
