    This role will be responsible for oversight of suppliers throughout detailed design process to assure solutions inclusive of the Nutrien PeopleSoft ERP and several 3rd party COTS solutions that support the Retail Finance environment enable the Agrium enterprise to achieve a high level of systems integration, maximize the reuse of components and empower the rapid deployment of applications in response to business demand for change.

    The role will also assist in the support activities of the IT services partner around PeopleSoft ERP and several 3rd party COTS solutions that support the Retail Finance environment. This will include assistance when needed in monitoring the IT services partner’s performance against Service Level Agreement metrics, reviewing the periodic status reports, reviewing Root Cause Analysis reports, and managing any issues with any of the above. The role will report to the Sr Mgr., IT Retail Finance. This position is responsible to ensure the PeopleSoft solution ERP and several 3rd party COTS solutions that support the Retail Finance environments remain operational for our Retail SBU. They will interact with the IT services partner to make sure the support services provided by the IT services partner are effective, timely, and accurate. This role will evaluate services and the IT services partner billing to make sure all billing metrics and credits, if any, are accurate.

    Key Tasks:

    • Oversee and coordinate supplier work and proposals to ensure alignment with design consistency for the long term architectural vision and roadmap for the Nutrien PeopleSoft ERP solution
    • Serve as primary client-facing technical PeopleSoft solution resource to collaborate on solution components required to meet business objectives
    • Oversee solution design and development to meet specific new business demand and coordinate development of a cohesive technical solution estimate for proposed business needs
    • Determine optimal approach to develop and deliver required ERP functionality from financial, architectural, operational perspectives (e.g. build/buy new or COTS; configure or customize existing application, subscriptions)
    • Coordinate technical and functional requirements for application development efforts and facilitates definition of project scope, goals and deliverables for Application Development vendors.
    • Oversee and review testing plans and outcomes to validate proposed solution meets architectural intent and will deliver the requested business need

    Qualifications:

    • 5 years in ERP solution design and development, including cross-domain experience
    • Heavy experience in solution design and delivery across the ERP software development lifecycle
    • Experience in application development estimation and best practices in solution delivery
    • Effective with creative solutioning and communication to influence and facilitate resolution of a problem/business issue. Uses influencing and negotiation skills when appropriate
    • Technical and process expertise to facilitate optimal integration with vendor/supplier resources
    • Deep subject matter expertise in business processes, solution design, best practices, and technology in Agrium’s technical/business environments
