This position will report to the Senior Project Manager, Innovation and Development.
What you will do:
The Environmental Performance and Innovation group looks externally at opportunities and threats to our business and internally at our strengths to identify pivots within existing product portfolios or strategies to create growth into new competitive areas, market whitespace, or blue oceans. Our focus areas are 1) Nutrient Use Efficiency, 2) Lifecycle Emissions Reductions, and 3) High Value New Products.
We are seeking an experienced and exceptional individual to identify and investigate world class technologies related to nitrogen use efficiency. The individual will be well connected in industry and academia and the technological developments currently revolutionizing the field and related developments in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, and include the interaction of enzymes in the biosphere and rhizosphere, which contribute to soil nutrient retention and nutrient exchange. Leading edge gene technology insights may further prove beneficial.
The individual will perform extensive literature, vendor, and company reviews to prepare a metadata analysis of high potential opportunities and collaborate with parties to validate the potential and prepare presentations on the findings and results.
As a key contributor to this team, you will have access to the Nutrien network consisting of professional engineers, business managers, financial managers, agronomists, scientists, and sales and marketing professionals. Direct supporting resources may also be made available to advance high potential investigations.
