About the role:

As an Agronomist at our Forbes, New South Wales branch, you will provide agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers in the region together with product sales both in store and on farm.  You will join a team of 8 branch team members passionate about providing first-class customer service and advancing the agricultural industry into the future.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building close and trusted relationships with growers and develop a strong understanding of their business goals
  • Share technical and market information with growers to enable them to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers whilst targeting new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input
  • Keep up to date with relevant and latest plant production practices
  • Be the go-to and trusted subject matter expert in the region for pasture & croping inputs and advice. 

 

What we’ll love about you:

 

To be successful you will have established yourself as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role and demonstrate an understanding of the products, seasonal timings, and general requirements of rural producers. In addition, you will also bring with you:

 

  • Excellent customer service, organisational, administrative, and computing skills as well as exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building capabilities with a passion for customer service
  • Knowledge of broad acre & pasture agronomy
  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver’s license is essential.
  • Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will secure this rewarding role.
